Jennifer Aniston Calls Making ‘The Break-Up’ a ‘Cathartic’ Experience After Brad Pitt Divorce<\/a> originally appeared on Parade<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n Jennifer Aniston<\/strong> admitted that filming the 2006 romantic comedy The Break-Up<\/em> was a “cathartic” experience after her divorce from ex-husband Brad Pitt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n While speaking to Vanity Fair<\/a><\/em> in an interview published on Monday, August 11, Aniston, 56, explained that filming the movie allowed her to have an emotional release following her split from Pitt, 61, in 2005.<\/p>\n In one YouTube video<\/a> shared by the outlet, Aniston watched a clip from the film that followed her navigating a split with her love interest, played by Vince Vaughn<\/strong>. \u201cI’m not spending one more second of this life with some inconsiderate prick,” her character, Brooke, said in the clip.<\/p>\n \u201cI might have just gone through a separation,” Aniston said after watching the portion of the movie, referring to her divorce from Pitt. She then made light of the divorce by adding, \u201cThat little separation. I’m sure nobody remembers that.\u201d<\/p>\n “So it was kind of cathartic to go right from that,\u201d Aniston said of filming the movie shortly after her divorce. \u201cWhen they came to me with the offer, they were a little nervous about making the offer, ’cause they thought, \u2018Oh, is that insensitive?
