NEW ORLEANS (WGNO<\/a>) \u2014 One of New Orleans\u2019 most famous residents, actor John Goodman<\/a> and his wife, are selling their Garden District mansion.<\/p>\n There\u2019s a pending sale, but before the new owner comes in, WGNO\u2019s Kenny Lopez<\/a> gives you a look inside.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n TV and movie star John Goodman and his family have lived in their Garden District mansion on the corner of Second and Coliseum Streets for 20 years, but now it\u2019s time for them to move on.<\/p>\n \u201cThey loved it and I think they\u2019d love to see it go to somebody that\u2019s going to enjoy it as much as they have,\u201d said Hyatt Hood<\/a>, Principal Broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Preferred Realtors.<\/p>\n Hood said that the 4,950 square foot home was initially listed for sale for $5.5 million, but now there\u2019s a pending sale.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Homes of the stars: Where the celebrities live in New Orleans <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cWe ended up lowering the price to $4,750,000, which is the current asking price,\u201d Hood said.<\/p>\n \u201cThis home is lovely and it\u2019s iconic. There\u2019s not much else like it. It has Greek Italianite architecture style and was built in the 1850s, so it\u2019s 175 years old, but in great condition,\u201d Hood said.<\/p>\n New Orleans actor John Goodman to star in new \u2018Smurfs\u2019 movie <\/a><\/p>\n The mansion has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a study, a huge walk-in-closet, a swimming pool and more.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cOne of my favorite rooms is the dining room. The dining room has hand-painted floors, and you can see the beautiful crown molding and the beautiful fireplace,\u201d Hood said.<\/p>\n For decades, John Goodman spent time in our homes on our television sets on the hit ABC shows, \u201cRoseanne,\u201d and \u201cThe Conners,\u201d so it\u2019s neat to see inside his home.<\/p>\n The home where NFL football stars Eli & Peyton Manning grew up <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThey are really going to miss this house.
