On the evening of Monday, August 11, a countdown to August 12 at 12:12 a.m. ET appeared on Swift’s website<\/a>. The website does not share what the countdown is for, but the multiple “12” references heavily imply that her 12th original album is coming.<\/p>\n

Rumors of a new album started swirling Monday morning after her official fan account, Taylor Nation, made a suspicious post on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Alongside a carousel of pictures from Swift\u2019s\u00a0Eras Tour<\/em>, the account wrote, \u201cThinking about when she said \u2018See you next era\u2026\u2019\u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83d\udd25\u201d<\/p>\n

In every photo, Swift is wearing an outfit in a shade of orange \u2014 potentially hinting at the color scheme and aesthetic for her next project.<\/p>\n

Fans started speculating that the official announcement would be made on her boyfriend Travis Kelce<\/strong>‘s podcast New Heights<\/em> after\u00a0the podcast’s official Instagram account teased a \u201cspecial episode with a VERY special guest\u201d set to air on Wednesday, August 13 at 7 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

In the photo, Travis wears Swift’s merchandise alongside brother and co-host Jason Kelce<\/strong>. Between them is a silhouette that looks eerily similar to Swift, and fans also pointed out the shimmery orange background that matches the looks in Taylor Nation’s Instagram post.<\/p>\n

Though many fans were convinced that Swift would be announcing the project on the podcast episode, a recent\u00a0TikTok<\/a>\u00a0posted by the singer points to the August 12 date now being teased on her official website.<\/p>\n
