\n\tMahesh Babu<\/a> and Namrata Shirodkar\u2019s Indian production shingle GMB Entertainment has unveiled the first look at \u201cRao Bahadur<\/a>,\u201d bringing acclaimed filmmaker Venkatesh Maha into the banner\u2019s fold.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe psychological drama, which stars Satya Dev<\/a> in the title role, showcases an elaborate poster featuring the actor in aristocratic regalia surrounded by peacock feathers and ornate details. The visual suggests the film\u2019s exploration of decaying nobility and internal conflict.<\/p>\n

\n\tMaha, who previously helmed the critically acclaimed \u201cC\/o Kancharapalem\u201d and \u201cUma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya,\u201d is writing, directing and editing the project. The filmmaker describes it as \u201ca Telugu story made for the world,\u201d positioning the pic for international appeal.<\/p>\n

\n\tProduction duties are shared between A+S Movies and SriChakraas Entertainments. A+S previously partnered with GMB on the successful \u201cMajor,\u201d while SriChakraas backed the well-received \u201cKA.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe first footage will arrive via what\u2019s being called \u201cNot Even a Teaser,\u201d launching theatrically on Aug. 15, India\u2019s Independence Day, before hitting digital platforms the following week.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor Satya Dev, the transformation required significant commitment. \u201cFive hours in makeup each morning gave me the rare chance to disappear into the character completely,\u201d the actor said. \u201cBy the time we rolled, I wasn\u2019t just playing Rao Bahadur, I was living him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Telugu-language film is eyeing a summer 2026 release with plans for subtitled international distribution.<\/p>\n

\n\tSatya Dev stars alongside Vijay Deverakonda in \u201cKingdom,\u201d which is currently on release. Next up for Mahesh Babu as an actor is a project identified as \u201cSSMB29,\u201d directed by \u201cRRR\u201d filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, where he stars alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas. <\/p>\n
