Channing Dungey<\/strong>, the Warner Bros. Television Group and current WBD US Networks Chairman and CEO, recently gave an update on the release date of Ted Lasso Season 4<\/strong>. The popular sports comedy-drama series premiered on Apple TV+ on August 14, 2020. Seasons 2 and 3 subsequently came out on July\u00a023,\u00a02021, and March 15, 2023. Series co-creator Bill Lawrence said at one point that Ted Lasso was conceptualized as a three-season show. However, conversations about a potential fourth season continued to circulate, and it was eventually greenlit in March 2025.<\/p>\n Dungey said during an interview with Variety <\/a>that Ted Lasso Season 4 could potentially debut on Apple TV+ sometime in mid-2026. \u201cCan you believe we are back in production?\u201d she asked, referring to the fact that Season 4 began filming last month.<\/p>\n The executive continued, \u201cThis was one of those ones where I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t know if we were going to get there,\u2019 but we are here now. I\u2019m really excited about the new cast.\u201d She disclosed that while they didn\u2019t have \u201ca firm date yet from Apple,\u201d they were \u201ctalking right now about mid-year next year.\u201d Dungey added, \u201cSo your guess is as good as mine as to what that actually means. But I would say sometime from Q2 forward.\u201d<\/p>\n Notably, series star Jason Sudeikis developed Ted Lasso along with Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly from the character he played in a series of promotional materials for NBC Sports\u2019 coverage of the English Premier League.<\/p>\n The returning cast members for the upcoming season include Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard, and Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton. Some of the new cast members for Season 4 are Faye Marsay, Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Abbie Hern, Rex Hayes, and Aisling Sharkey.
