Anna Delvey<\/strong><\/a> broke her silence after being accused of dumping rabbits in Brooklyn\u2019s Prospect Park after using them in a photo shoot.<\/p>\n

Delvey, 34, posed in New York City for a photo shoot earlier this month where she was holding two rabbits on a leash. The snaps were taken by photographer Jasper Soloff<\/strong> before a social media user later claimed the animals featured in the photos were similar to rabbits that were found abandoned in Prospect Park.<\/p>\n

After receiving backlash, Delvey took to Instagram on Monday, August 11, to explain how her assistant Christian Batty<\/strong> originally told her he knew someone who \u201ccould lend us bunnies for a few hours.\u201d<\/p>\n

Delvey didn\u2019t ask where<\/a> Batty acquired multiple rabbits until the scandal.<\/p>\n

The Vanderpump Rules alum and her dog Graham Cracker were introduced to viewers during Leviss\u2019 relationship with James Kennedy. Following Leviss and Kennedy\u2019s split in 2021, Leviss initially remained Graham Cracker\u2019s primary [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI later discovered that, instead of borrowing animals from a legitimate source like he claimed, he had obtained them via Facebook Marketplace and intended to release them into Prospect Park,\u201d Delvey wrote via her Instagram Story. \u201c[That was] a plan of which I had no knowledge. The idea that someone would compromise the well-being of innocent animals for personal networking opportunities is deeply disturbing to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

As \u201can animal lover,\u201d Delvey was \u201cappalled by what transpired.\u201d Delvey noted she would not be working with animals in future photo shoots.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not eat meat, and I had no involvement in the acquisition, transport, or return of these animals,\u201d she added. \u201cI would never condone these actions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Delvey included alleged<\/a> screenshots of texts between her assistant and the photographer. Batty publicly addressed the drama by issuing an apology for dumping the bunnies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I realized the rabbits were being surrendered to me, I panicked,\u201d Batty wrote via Instagram Story on Sunday, August 10, according to The celebrity.land. \u201cAt 19, with no experience caring for animals \u2026 and no knowledge of available resources, I felt overwhelmed and made the worst possible choice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Batty concluded: \u201cBelieving, mistakenly, that there were existing rabbits in that area, I released them [in Prospect Park], thinking that was my best option. That belief was wrong, and I regret it deeply.\u201d<\/p>\n
