Variety\u2019s Actors to Watch returns Oct. 15.<\/p>\n

Hosted by the Newport Beach Film Festival, the annual impact list, which identifies notable up-and-coming actors, is seeking submissions for 2025.<\/p>\n

Past honorees include Monica Barbaro<\/a> (\u201cA Complete Unknown<\/a>\u201d), Drew Starkey<\/a> (\u201cQueer\u201d), Charles Melton<\/a> (\u201cMay December\u201d), Dominic Sessa<\/a> (\u201cThe Holdovers\u201d), Amber Midthunder<\/a> (\u201cPrey<\/a>\u201d) and Sam Nivola<\/a> (\u201cWhite Noise<\/a>\u201d).<\/p>\n

As the entertainment industry\u2019s publication of record, Variety seeks to highlight creatives who are making waves across a spectrum of disciplines. Like similar lists for directors, screenwriters, producers and animators, Actors to Watch looks at recent, current and upcoming work from rising actors.<\/p>\n
