The end to Prince Harry<\/strong> and Prince William<\/strong>\u2018s yearslong tensions could come down to one of them deciding to call it quits.<\/p>\n

Royal author Robert Lacey<\/strong>, who wrote Battle of Brothers: William and Harry \u2013 The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult<\/em>, told People<\/em><\/a> that the royal siblings have been unmoved thus far as they both \u201cdeeply believe\u201d they are \u201cfighting for profound points of principle.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe rift is very profound and very long-lasting,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt will not be changed, in my opinion, until Harry makes a move and apologizes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Historian Amanda Foreman<\/strong> appeared to agree with Lacey\u2019s first point, telling the outlet that a reconciliation between the brothers<\/a> has been \u201cimpossible\u201d as \u201ceveryone wants it to happen on their terms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry, 40, and William, 43, supposedly initially fell out in 2018 over the elder royal\u2019s alleged treatment of Meghan Markle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry felt William wasn\u2019t rolling out the red carpet for Meghan and told him so,\u201d a source told royal journalist Katie Nicholl<\/strong> per Cosmopolitan<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThey had a bit of a fallout, which was only resolved when Charles stepped in and asked William to make an effort.\u201d<\/p>\n
