In fairness, fans didn\u2019t have to be genius codebreakers to deduce that a countdown to 12.12am (Eastern Time) on 12th August might be about an announcement of Swift\u2019s 12th studio album. <\/p>\n\n<p>And so it was. \u2018The Life of a Showgirl\u2019 is the album, with the vinyl, CD and cassette versions\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/store.taylorswift.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">available to pre-order from her online store<\/a>. While they are listed as shipping before 13 October, a warning message notes that \u201cthis is not the release date, official release date to be announced\u201d.
