The \u201cFreakier Friday\u201d actor revealed that he once spent nearly three months in a hospital over a teenage health scare that left him having \u201cvisions.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cI was 15, and my intestines had twisted. And I was hospitalized for two and a half months,\u201d the actor shared during an appearance on the \u201cGreat Company\u201d<\/a> podcast with Jamie Laing last week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI had internal bleeding. I lost 50% of my blood. I was on my deathbed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n When asked by Laing if he remembered the experience, the 43-year-old said he was \u201cin and out of consciousness,\u201d but he \u201chad visions.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want to get too specific about all that stuff, but I just remember seeing my father the weakest I\u2019d ever seen him and a priest at the end of my bed, and they\u2019re talking about last rites and all that stuff,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd they gave me a blood transfusion to save my life.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cBut regardless, you\u2019re in there for two and a half months and, you know, my organs shut down because you have blood all coagulated around them and they got to wait \u2019til everything [clears up],\u201d he said. \u201cSo anyway, I had to have a second surgery to clean everything up.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n If there can be a bright side to a monthslong hospital stay, Murray found one. One of his nurses, who was a model herself, told Murray that he should also get into the industry. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI was like, \u2018I don\u2019t want to model,\u2019\u201d he shared. \u201c\u2018I want to be an actor. I love film and television. Like, I want to give this gift to other people.\u2019 And she\u2019s like, \u2018Well, you can segue from modeling into acting. Look, when you get out, I\u2019m hooking you up with this modeling company I know.\u2019 And she meant it.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n The rest, of course, is history, as Murray quickly found success in Los Angeles. He recently admitted that he \u201cwas not prepared for any of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cYou\u2019re put in a position of power where you can bring the whole house of cards down by making poor choices,\u201d he said in an interview with The New York Times,<\/a> published last week. \u201cBut you\u2019re not mature enough.
