Noah Centineo Will Reportedly Play John Rambo Though Stallone Once Preferred Another Actor<\/a> originally appeared on Parade<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n Noah Centineo<\/strong> has reportedly been cast as the iconic John Rambo<\/a> made famous by Sylvester Stallone<\/a><\/strong> though it doesn\u2019t sound like the Rocky star had him in mind for the part<\/p>\n Centineo, who rose to fame in his role as Peter Kavinsky in the wildly popular series To All the Boys I\u2019ve Loved Before, will allegedly be stepping into the combat boots of the fictional Vietnam war veteran, per a report from Deadline<\/a> published on Monday, August 11. However, when Stallone discussed passing the torch during a 2024 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon he name-dropped other actors for a Rambo prequel and Centineo wasn\u2019t on the list.<\/p>\n \u201cI met [Ryan Gosling<\/strong>] at a dinner and obviously we’re opposites. He’s good-looking \u2013 I’m not. That’s how it works,\u201d the Tulsa King actor said during the February 9, 2024, episode<\/a>. \u201cBut he goes, \u2018I was fascinated by Rambo, and I used to go to school dressed as Rambo and people would chase me away and I still didn’t stop.\u2019 He just kept saying that he had a lot of affiliation with Rambo, and I thought, this is interesting. While the first film was more of a psychological thriller with him being harassed by a small-town sheriff, the second film, Rambo: First Blood Part II, dove right into being an action flick. The most recent move in the series debuted in 2019 and featured Rambo going up against the Mexican cartel.
