Author: Alex Ross<\/span>Published 26th Jul 2025 Fans of the biggest pop stars have adopted some fun names for themselves over the years, from Directioners (One Direction<\/a>), Beliebers (Justin Bieber<\/a>), Mixers (Little Mix<\/a>) or Little Monsters (Lady Gaga<\/a>), there are so many music fandoms out there!<\/p>\n With names ranging from the cute to the quirky, we take a look at the best fandom names for some of the biggest pop stars on the planet, including Beyonce<\/a>, Katy Perry<\/a>, Adele<\/a>, Ed Sheeran<\/a>, Harry Styles<\/a>, Tate McRae<\/a> and many more!<\/p>\n Katy Perry fans coined the nickname when the pop goddess embarked on the ‘Hello Katy Tour’ back in 2009 and it’s stuck to this day. Like many other fan groups, KatyCats pride themselves on not only supporting Katy but also each other.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n After winning The X Factor in 2011, Little Mix girls have become HUGE pop icons. Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock decided to call their fans Mixers. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Ariana’s fans weren’t always called Arianators. They started out as Ariana Army and then Tiny Elephants, before moving onto Arianators!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Lady Gaga herself is known as Mother Monster and her millions of fans are her Little Monsters. In tribute to her fans, Gaga has ‘Little Monsters’ tattooed on her left arm (“the arm that holds the mic”), called her official fan site littlemonsters.com and has an official greeting of the outstretched “monster claw” hand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n After leaving her Fifth Harmony band mates behind and going solo, Camila Cabello rocked up her own fan base with hits like ‘Havana’ and ‘Crying In The Club’ – they call themselves Camilizers. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n According to Urban Dictionary, Taylor Swift’s Swifties are “beautiful souls who have a big heart and always treat everyone respectfully.” One thing Swifties don’t like is people making fun out of their heroine! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n After Ed’s fans decided to call themselves Sheerios, the singer approved on the name in a tweet. In 2012, he wrote, ‘i get asked all the time what my fans call themselves. i approve of sheerios, i like that one’. sic<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Justin Bieber’s snappily titled Beliebers worship the Canadian singer’s every move. The Beliebers fanbase first developed on YouTube way before Justin released his debut album ‘My World 2.0’ in 2010 and have grown in size and devotion daily.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n A play on the word beehive, Beyonc\u00e9 is the Queen Bey, her followers are the Beys who collectively belong to The Hive. Officially acknowledged as the official fan nickname by Beyonc\u00e9 in 2011, a year later she wrote a fan mantra: “We protect our own. We are all beautiful. One Bey should never turn on another. We defend each other. Let love & respect guide you and always be good to each other. Follow the golden rule Beys!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Born Destiny Hope Cyrus, Miley Cyrus’s stage name was derived from the ‘Smiley’ nickname her Mum and Dad gave her as she often beamed as a kid. It seemed only natural then to give her fans the affectionate name ‘Smilers’. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n The name Daydreamers actually arrived from the song ‘Daydreamer’ on Adele’s debut album ’19’. Fans of the talented singer first decided to call themselves Daydreamers on fan forums and it’s stuck ever since!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n According to Urban Dictionary, a Directioner is someone who will stand by One Direction “no matter what.” Arguably the most loyal and frenzied pop fanbase on Planet Earth, despite the band starting a hiatus in 2016. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Squeaky clean Selena Gomez gave her obsessive fans an almost Terminator-like name – and we like it a lot! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n The ‘Super Bass’ singer calls her fans Barbies, or Barbz for short. Her male heterosexual fans are called Boyz and her gay followers are dubbed Ken Barbz.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Since his career began, Bruno Mars dubbed his backing band The Hooligans and named his debut album ‘Doo-Wops & Holigans’ after them. Spreading the love, he extended the Hooligan name to his fans who wear the title like a badge of honour.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Lovatics distance themselves from mere Demi Lovato fans. Their love for the singer knows no bounds. In fact, in an MTV poll Demi’s Lovatics were named the Best Fans of 2012 ahead of Little Monsters and Team Britney.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n The pop superstar’s RihannaNavy \u2013 or Navy for short \u2013 are incredibly close to her heart. In 2012 ahead of the release of her new album ‘Unapologetic’, Rihanna penned an letter to them: “Dear Navy, We continue down this road together, strong, united, uncensored and fearless… We are all Unapologetic. Love Rihanna”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Easily one of our favourite fan nicknames on this list, Gouldiggers couldn’t care less about money or precious metals \u2013 instead they get their kicks out of Ellie Goulding’s beautiful tones. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Oratics, Ritarulers or Ories really wouldn’t have sounded as good would they?! Although Rita herself rarely refers to her fans as Ritabots, it’s been lapped up by her millions of fans across the globe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Simple, but very effective! Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes’ fans decided to call themselves after their idol! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Fans of The Vamps are called Vampettes or Vampions depending on whether they are male or female. We love the play on words.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Fans of the former One Direction star have adopted the title Stylers – very apt for a guy with such style!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n When it comes to fandom names, the last we heard from Anne-Marie was back in 2016, when she tweeted: ‘And I finally got a name for my fans!!!! MY NINJAS!!!! \ud83d\udc4a’ (sic).<\/p>\n Granted, this was a few years ago now, but we love it!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Just rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? When asked on Twitter what his fanbase were called, Lewis replied simply saying ‘big fat sexy jungle cats!’<\/p>\n We’re taking this one with a pinch of salt, really.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Keeping it sweet and simple, Bebe Rexha’s loyal fanbase have adopted themselves the name Rexhars.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n After making the decision to leave Little Mix back in December 2020, Jesy began a solo career. By March, she shared how much she loved her fans calling themselves Nelsonaters!<\/p>\n Following the release of her debut solo single ‘Boyz’, Jesy’s fans seemed to adopt the fandom name Baddies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n K-Popstars BTS have taken the world by storm and currently hold 23 Guinness World Records. Fans of the boys are known as the BTS ARMY, which stands for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n ‘Greedy’ singer Tate McRae has a huge followed since bursting onto the music scene a decade ago.
