Julie Chrisley<\/strong><\/a> didn\u2019t strike up a romance during her 28-month prison stay \u2014 but was known as \u201cthe mom\u201d of her fellow inmates.<\/p>\n \u201cDid anybody ever hit on you?\u201d Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/em><\/a> alum Kandi Burruss<\/strong> asked Julie, 52, during the Wednesday, August 13, episode of the \u201cChrisley Confessions 2.0\u201d<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n \u201cHit on me?\u201d Julie replied. \u201cNo. No, they really didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n Kandi, 49, went on to clarify her question.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m saying, you were supposed to be in there for seven years originally, right?\u201d she asked Julie. \u201cThat\u2019s a long time, because when that happened, I was like, \u2018What?\u2019 I was scared. \u2026 You were ready to go the whole seven years with nothing?\u201d<\/p>\n Julie did not hesitate with her reply.<\/p>\n \u201cAbsolutely. Never crossed my mind,\u201d she said. \u201cI can say that it never crossed my mind. I think people, because of the show, they had this [idea] she\u2019s everybody\u2019s mom. She\u2019s the mom.\u201d<\/p>\n Going into prison with people knowing Julie as the matriarch from Chrisley Knows Best<\/em><\/a> \u201cplayed to my advantage,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n \u201cThe girls felt like I was their mom in there. They were on their best behavior,\u201d Julie added. \u201cEverybody was sweet to me.\u201d<\/p>\n Julie was incarcerated at the FMC Lexington, Kentucky for 28 months after she and her husband, Todd Chrisley<\/strong>, were convicted on tax evasion and bank and wire fraud charges in 2022. She was sentenced to seven years behind bars while Todd, 56, was sentenced to 12 years at the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida. The couple was released this past May after receiving a presidential pardon<\/a> from President Donald Trump<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Both Julie and Todd have discussed their respective prison stays<\/a> at length since being released and returning to their podcast.<\/p>\n
