The syndicated entertainment news show Extra<\/em> has found its new host.<\/p>\n Derek Hough will join the show for its 32nd season, which is set to premiere Sept. 8. The former Dancing With the Stars<\/em> pro and judge and TV host will take over for Billy Bush, who announced in May that he wouldn\u2019t return after five years.<\/p>\n More from The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThe ballroom has been my stage, my home, and my launchpad. Television Group\u2019s Telepictures, has also undergone some off-camera changes recently. The show parted ways with long-time executive producer Theresa Coffino and senior porducer and music correspondent Adam Weissler and laid off<\/a> a number of staff members. Jeremy Spiegel, who has been an EP on the show for a decade-plus, will be the showrunner for the coming season.<\/p>\n Said Spiegel about Hough, \u201cDerek has not only dominated the world of dance, he\u2019s become a beloved household name who has won America\u2019s hearts with his talent, charisma and boundless creativity.
