Bachelor Nation alum Madi Prewett<\/strong><\/a> is looking back on one of her earliest dates with now-husband <\/a>Grant Troutt<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a FaceTime date [when] he was in Missouri and I was in Dallas,\u201d Prewett, 29, recalled on the Monday, August 11, episode of her \u201cStay True\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201c[We] just spent, like, a long time on the FaceTime praying and crossing that boundary of, like, \u2018This is what we\u2019re supposed to be doing when we\u2019re married.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Prewett further noted that she and Troutt, 29, were \u201creally praying and interceding for each other\u201d during the duration of the virtual conversation.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter we got off the call, we were more tempted<\/a> than we had ever been individually,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was just, like, \u2018Man, this is supposed to be reserved for marriage.\u2019 But, one of the most beautiful aspects of our marriage is there\u2019s such a deep spiritual bond and union that\u2019s healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAfter looking for love in Bachelor Nation, Madison Prewett is head over heels for husband\u00a0Grant Michael Troutt. Fans met Prewett when she competed for Peter Weber\u2019s affections on season 24 of The Bachelor. After he ended his engagement to winner Hannah Ann Sluss because he still had feelings for Prewett, the pilot and his runner-up [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Prewett added, \u201cWe pray together all the time<\/a>, and I feel so safe in that, and secure in that and covered in that. When you do it in dating, you can\u2019t feel the same safety and security because you don\u2019t know if that\u2019s going to be your forever person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prewett started dating Troutt in 2021, quickly realizing that he was The One.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou broke up with me because you\u2019re, like, \u2018Is she really about it or not?\u2019 [and] we were probably three weeks in,\u201d Prewett said on her podcast, noting Troutt questioned why she appeared<\/a> on The Bachelor <\/i>amidst her devout Christian faith. <\/i>\u201cBut, I knew he was my husband [because] God had already spoken to me. I wasn\u2019t too worried.\u201d<\/p>\n

Troutt, who stressed that they were merely \u201con a break\u201d at the time, was grappling with an internal fear of commitment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI break up with her on the day I\u2019m supposed to meet her family, [who] has flown into Dallas,\u201d he explained, noting that Prewett\u2019s relatives had traveled from Alabama to join her for a Redeeming Love <\/i>screening. \u201cShe says, \u2018I still want you to come.\u2019 I have to come at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Troutt arrived at the movie theater, he met Prewett\u2019s parents for the first time.<\/p>\n

\u201c[My mom] knew,\u201d Prewett added, referring to Troutt\u2019s initial breakup conversation. \u201cShe also knew that I felt he was my husband, so it was a weird tension moment of, \u2018You just broke up with her daughter.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
