January\u2019s California wildfires<\/a> displaced a lot of people.<\/p>\n Among them: celebrities<\/a>.<\/p>\n Under the threat of the blazes, some celebrities left their homes to temporarily take refuge in other celebrities\u2019 homes.<\/p>\n One of these stars was Zo\u00eb Kravitz<\/a>.<\/p>\n The actor and director, who is nominated for an Emmy for her standout guest appearances in the Apple TV+ series \u201cThe Studio<\/a>,\u201d told Seth Meyers about her stay with a certain pop singer on \u201cLate Night\u201d Tuesday.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m gonna name-drop,\u201d Kravitz said before dropping the name:<\/p>\n Taylor Swift<\/a>.<\/p>\n Kravitz, who had to evacuate her home, stayed at her friend Swift\u2019s house for about two weeks during the fires.<\/p>\n She brought her mother, Emmy-nominated \u201cCosby Show\u201d actor Lisa Bonet<\/a> (Denise Huxtable), who left her own Topanga Canyon home.<\/p>\n And Bonet brought Orpheus, her pet snake.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful house,\u201d Kravitz said of Swift\u2019s 1930s-era<\/i> home. \u201cSomething you wanna preserve and take care of.\u201d<\/p>\n At the end of Kravitz\u2019s stay \u2014 she had to leave for work, and her mother was going to stay behind \u2014 she got a call from Bonet … inside the same house.<\/p>\n READ MORE: <\/b>Kevin Smith thanks firefighters for saving his Hollywood Hills home from a \u2018wall of flame\u2019<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Kravitz immediately figured something was up because her mother greeted her with a \u201csuper\u201d high-pitched voice.<\/p>\n \u201cUm, I\u2019m in a little bit of a pickle,\u201d Bonet told Kravitz. \u201cCan you come upstairs?\u201d<\/p>\n Kravitz, 36, reported to the scene.<\/p>\n The actor found her mother crouched in the corner of the bathroom.<\/p>\n Apparently, Bonet, 57, had Orpheus out while she was washing her face.<\/p>\n When she went to close the door, the snake made a beeline for a hole in the corner. She was able to get a hold of her pet\u2019s tail, but needed help.<\/p>\n The hole was next to a banquette that was built into the wall. A panicked Kravitz tried to see if the hole led to some drawers in the furniture, but no dice.<\/p>\n Kravitz\u2019s assistant also reported to the bathroom, but had no solutions.<\/p>\n Then the house manager showed up.<\/p>\n They had two options.<\/p>\n One: Let Orpheus go into the hole and inform Swift that a snake is now loose in her house, somewhere in the walls, or … wherever.<\/p>\n Two: dismantle part of the bathroom trying to get the snake out.<\/p>\n Kravitz and Bonet went with the second option.<\/p>\n READ MORE: <\/b>Meryl Streep had to cut \u2018car-size\u2019 hole in fence to escape California wildfire<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n The house manager tore the banquette apart with a crowbar. The whole endeavor resulted in tile being ripped up and scratches on the walls.<\/p>\n \u201cCompletely destroyed Taylor\u2019s bathroom,\u201d Kravitz told Meyers.<\/p>\n Still, she\u2019s glad they didn\u2019t let the snake go, because then the house \u201cwould be ruined forever,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Kravitz assisted her mom in securing the snake\u2019s tail so they could recover the pet from the hole.<\/p>\n She told the house manager she would pay for all repairs, and asked that he not tell Swift until they were complete.<\/p>\n Later, Kravitz called the singer in her own \u201chigh voice\u201d to clue her in.<\/p>\n But Swift, 35, was already up to speed.<\/p>\n \u201cIs it the fact that you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?\u201d<\/p>\n Meyers\u2019 response to the tale:<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like that snake\u2019s gonna get three songs on the next album.\u201d<\/p>\n Kravitz concurred.<\/p>\n \u201cHer next album is called \u2018Orpheus,\u2019 obviously.\u201d<\/p>\n You can watch Kravitz tell the full story in the clip below.<\/p>\n Thank you for reading.
