It\u2019s not at all uncommon these days for a show or movie to have a resurgence<\/a>\u2014especially in the age of streaming. But while it\u2019s pretty normal for one forgotten gem to sneak back into the spotlight (hi again, After the Sunset<\/a>), it\u2019s far less common for two films starring the same lead to land in the Top 10<\/a> at the same time. And yet, that\u2019s exactly what\u2019s happening right now on Prime Video<\/a>.<\/p>\n Alongside fan-favorite titles like The Summer I Turned Pretty<\/a> and the new Keke Palmer, Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson comedy The Pickup, two Jason Statham action thrillers<\/a> have clawed their way into the streamer\u2019s Top 10. The movies? 2021\u2019s Wrath of Man<\/a> and 2011\u2019s Killer Elite<\/a>.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s start with Wrath of Man. Directed by Guy Ritchie<\/a> (so you already know it\u2019s going to go hard), the film stars Statham as \u201cH,\u201d a new cash-truck driver in L.A. whose suspiciously precise response to a heist raises questions about who he really is\u2014and what he\u2019s truly after. The cast is stacked, too, with Holt McCallany, Josh Hartnett, Laz Alonso and Scott Eastwood all joining the action.<\/p>\n Then there\u2019s Killer Elite, a 2011 thriller directed by Gary McKendry and based on the novel The Feather Men by Ranulph Fiennes. In this one, Statham stars alongside heavyweights like Clive Owen, Robert De Niro and Dominic Purcell. It\u2019s another action-packed ride, with a very man-on-a-mission vibe and plenty of bodies hitting the floor.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the thing: while both films bring the tension, only one had me thinking, Yeah, I\u2019d absolutely never want to cross this guy. And that\u2019s Wrath of Man. Why? Because in that movie, Statham\u2019s character chooses violence. He\u2019s not coerced, he\u2019s not cornered\u2014he\u2019s calculating. And when someone like that has a motive? Total force of nature.<\/p>\n That said, I\u2019m streaming both. Because Statham in a revenge spiral and Statham in a covert ops showdown?
