Chris Noth<\/a> has returned to acting after a four-year informal hiatus following several sexual assault allegations<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Block, an upcoming horror film about writer’s block, marks Noth’s first big-screen role since 2020’s A New York Christmas Wedding and his first role of any kind since he last reprised his signature part of Mr. Big on the Sex and the City<\/a> sequel series And Just Like That<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Block Motion Picture<\/p>\n Jackie Earle Haley and Jack Falahee in ‘The Block’<\/p><\/div>\n The official logline for The Block reads, “A former successful horror fiction writer overcomes writer’s block after experiencing a mysterious event. However, his renewed creativity comes at a dark price, as he becomes entangled in a sinister cycle of creation and consequence.”<\/p>\n Joining Noth in the cast are Jack Falahee<\/a>, best known for his role in the Shonda Rhimes<\/a> thriller How to Get Away With Murder; Watchmen star Jackie Earle Haley<\/a>; Chicago P.D.’s Elias Koteas; as well as Catherine Corcoran, Thomas G. Waits, Katie Kay, and Saphira Moran.<\/p>\n The Block was directed by Craig Singer, who previously helmed 2003’s crime caper A Good Night to Die, starring Michael Rapaport and Seymour Cassel, and the 2006 slasher Dark Ride, featuring Jamie Lynn-Sigler<\/a>.<\/p>\n Noth was first accused of sexual assault by two women in early December 2021. Remaining anonymous to protect their privacy, Noth’s accusers alleged the incidents occurred in Los Angeles in 2004 and New York in 2015, but cited Noth’s return to And Just Like That as triggering the memories.<\/p>\n The actor denied the allegations as “categorically false,” but more followed. A third woman accused Noth<\/a> of assaulting her at her job while working as a hostess in New York City in 2010, when she was only 18. His former\u00a0Sex and the City\u00a0costars\u00a0Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a>,\u00a0Cynthia Nixon<\/a>, and\u00a0Kristin Davis<\/a>\u00a0issued a\u00a0joint statement<\/a>\u00a0addressing the allegations, noting that they “support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”<\/p>\n<\/span><\/div>\n
