Jason<\/strong> and Maddie Duggar<\/strong> love kids \u2013 but they aren\u2019t ready to be parents yet.<\/p>\n

The young couple opened up on their decision to wait to expand the ever-growing Duggar brood<\/a> on the Wednesday, August 13, installment of the Jinger and Jeremy Podcast<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are not expecting at all!\u201d Maddie, 21, playfully informed her in-laws, Jinger Duggar<\/strong> and Jeremy Vuolo<\/strong>. \u201cWe are not trying to be expecting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason\u2019s parents, Jim Bob<\/strong> and Michelle Duggar<\/strong>, had 19 children throughout their more than 40-year marriage and their kids have since welcomed a whopping 39 grandchildren<\/a> into the family.<\/p>\n

While Jason, 25, and Maddie both like children and even get \u201cbaby fever\u201d at times, Maddie said she wanted to just \u201cenjoy this time\u201d together as they develop their personal relationship as newlyweds.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can always get pregnant later on, Lord willing,\u201d she added. \u201cRight now, we just want to chill.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also clarified that she doesn\u2019t plan on becoming a mom for the first time until she\u2019s out of college.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have one year of school left,\u201d Maddie explained.<\/p>\n

Jason and Maddie tied the knot<\/a> on October 3, 2024, at the Estate at Sweetwater Creek in Tennessee. Prior to their big day, she confessed she was excited to have \u201ceverybody together\u201d to celebrate them.<\/p>\n

\u201cEspecially for us, because I\u2019m from Tennessee, and so half my family lives in Tennessee and Kentucky, and then we\u2019re moving to Arkansas,\u201d she told People<\/em><\/a> at the time. \u201cJust being able to see everybody in one place. It\u2019s just a big party where everybody gets together.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
