For a while, I\u2019ve been using the same Spotify <\/a>tricks to help boost my playlists and taste profile, including browsing its New Music Friday playlist to consulting my Daylist<\/a>. But recently I’ve adopted new practices, and I’ve seen a big improvement. <\/p>\n

Though I\u2019m still toying with the idea of making the switch to Apple<\/a> Music, I\u2019m still enjoying exploring Spotify\u2019s hidden gems, and I’m not done just yet. If you’re a playlist obsessive like me, these are the three new Spotify tricks I use that have helped me keep my playlists fresh and updated, as well as find new music.<\/p>\n

1. Scour Spotify\u2019s editorial playlists <\/h2>\n

I stand firm on the fact that Apple Music\u2019s editorial team is a lot stronger than Spotify\u2019s, but that\u2019s not to say that Spotify\u2019s editorial playlists are lackluster. They\u2019re actually pretty useful if you ask me \u2013 you just need to know where to look.<\/p>\n

For as long as I\u2019ve been subscribed to Spotify, I\u2019ve been force-fed its \u2018Made for you\u2019 playlists which \u2013 despite being designed to find new artists similar to ones on your radar \u2013 are incredibly repetitive. This is what sparked my hunt for specialist playlists I could actually rely on.<\/p>\n
