Taylor Swift\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> debut appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> \u201cNew Heights<\/a>\u201d podcast did not disappoint.<\/p>\n

The pop star, 35, joined the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also 35, and his cohost brother, Jason Kelce<\/strong><\/a>, during the Wednesday, August 13, episode of the podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis podcast has done a lot for me,\u201d Swift, 35, said in the opening moments of the episode. \u201cThis podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app two years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

She recalled Travis going on \u201cNew Heights\u201d to express his disappointment about not meeting her at Arrowhead Stadium during her Kansas City Eras Tour<\/em> stop, telling Jason, \u201cIt was such a wild romantic gesture to just be like, \u2018I want to date you!\u2019 At first when I looked at it, I was like, \u2018This dude didn\u2019t get a meet and greet and he\u2019s making it everyone\u2019s problem.\u2019 He didn\u2019t even reach out to our management! When this podcast came out I was like, \u2018Did he ever reach out to be in the tents or did we know he was in the building?\u2019 He came with Patrick Mahomes<\/strong> and he thought that becuase he knows the elevator lady that he could just talk to her about getting [backstage]. That\u2019s how it works in 1973.\u201d<\/p>\n

She explained that after she processed things her perspective changed. \u201cI\u2019m not an online person at all, I\u2019m not on social media like that, I\u2019m genuinely terrified to open my DMs. There\u2019s smoke coming out of my DMs. If you have, like, 20 million unread DMs, you\u2019re just like, \u2018Ahh!\u2019 This was more like I was in an \u201980s John Hughes<\/strong> movie and he was just standing outside of my window with a boombox just being like, \u2018I want to date you! Do you want to date me!?\u2019 So I was like, \u2018If this guy isn\u2019t crazy, which is a big if, this is sort of what i\u2019ve been writing songs sbout what I\u2019ve been wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift and Kelce were first linked in July 2023 when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared he attempted to ask Swift out after attending her Eras Tour. \u201cI was a little butthurt I didn\u2019t get to hand her one of the bracelets I [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Swift\u2019s recollection made Travis blush as he added with a laugh, \u201cAnd i was sitting there at the Eras Tour<\/em> listening to all those songs thinking, \u2018This is what she wants me to do.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The pop star noted it was a \u201cwild\u201d move but. it \u201cworked,\u201d as Kelce replied, \u201cI\u2019m the luckiest man in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, fans began speculating that Swift would finally appear on \u201cNew Heights\u201d<\/a> for the first time after the podcast\u2019s social media accounts teased a mystery guest.<\/p>\n

\u201c92%ers, we\u2019re coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest,\u201d a post shared via Instagram on Monday, August 11, hinted. \u201cNew episode Wednesday 7 p.m. ET.\u201d<\/p>\n

The accompanying image featured a silhouette that resembled Swift alongside photos of Travis and Jason, 37, who appeared to be wearing merch with the singer\u2019s face on it.<\/p>\n

Later that day, \u201cNew Heights\u201d confirmed Swift as the mystery guest<\/a> with a clip of her and Travis flirting while recording the episode.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, August 12, Swift announced the title of her upcoming 12th album<\/a>, The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>, in a teaser from her \u201cNew Heights\u201d appearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cPosted at 12:12 on the 12th. \u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83d\udd25 Tay\u2019s 12th album is called \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026,\u201d the accompanying Instagram post read.<\/p>\n

Swift\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d debut is a full-circle moment in her relationship with Travis. The couple began dating in the summer of 2023 after he shared a story on the podcast of his failed attempt to meet her<\/a> at one of her Eras Tour<\/em> concerts in Kansas City, Missouri.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I was disappointed that she doesn\u2019t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,\u201d he explained during a July 2023 episode. \u201cSo I was a little butthurt I didn\u2019t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Travis added that he wanted to give Swift a bracelet \u201cwith my number on it.\u201d<\/p>\n
