Alicia Silverstone Explains Why She ‘Never Thought’ There Would Be A ‘Clueless’ Sequel<\/a> originally appeared on Parade<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n A<\/em>Clueless <\/em>sequel series is in the early stages of production at Peacock, <\/a>and fans of the original are getting precisely what they want in Alicia Silverstone’<\/strong>s reprisal of the iconic Cher Horowitz.<\/p>\n Silverstone promised they will “do our very best to honor the original movie that we love and to bring something new to it” while speaking with Entertainment Tonight <\/em>about the upcoming sequel series.<\/p>\n The 48-year-old actress admitted that she “can’t wait to step back into Cher’s skin and her fancy designer shoes” while teasing Cher’s evolution 30 years later.<\/p>\n The original Clueless <\/em>was written and directed by Amy Heckerling<\/strong>, who will also executive produce the upcoming sequel series alongside Silverstone. Jordan Weiss,<\/strong>Josh Schwartz<\/strong>, Stephanie Savage<\/strong>, and Robert Lawrence<\/strong> are also listed as executive producers.<\/p>\n It’s not clear yet which original cast members aside from Silverstone may return or what the plot will be.
