Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> opened up about how Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> was there for her when she was able to purchase her masters.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knock on the door, he\u2019s playing video games and I\u2019m trying to say it in a normal way \u2026\u00a0 he, like, puts his headset down \u2026 and I think he thought something was wrong,\u201d Swift, 35, recalled of the emotional moment during the Wednesday, August 13, \u201cNew Heights\u201d episode. \u201cYou come up and I go, \u2018I got all my music back and I just absolutely started heaving crying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelce, also 35, added that Swift was \u201cdeadweight\u201d and \u201clost control\u201d after being overcome with emotion.<\/p>\n

\u201c[I] dropped, had no power in my legs to support myself,\u201d she shared. \u201cThis changed my life. I can\u2019t believe it still.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift and Kelce were first linked in July 2023 when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared he attempted to ask Swift out after attending her Eras Tour. \u201cI was a little butthurt I didn\u2019t get to hand her one of the bracelets I [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Swift gushed that she was happy that Kelce was there to support her physically and emotionally \u2014 and he got emotional too.<\/p>\n

\u201cI started weeping \u2026 I was blown away that you had been doing this your entire life and for your six albums, you weren\u2019t given the rights to all of that. I know how much that burned you,\u201d Kelce confessed.<\/p>\n

The \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast holds special significance for Swift and Kelce. During a July 2023 episode, he shared the story of how he failed to meet her<\/a> at one of her Eras Tour<\/em> concerts in Kansas City, Missouri. Swift subsequently reached out to Kelce<\/a> after hearing about their missed connection, which kicked off their headline-making romance.<\/p>\n

Prior to her podcast debut, Swift had only spoken publicly about her relationship<\/a> with Kelce once.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,\u201d she told TIME<\/em> in December 2023, revealing that the couple \u201cstarted hanging out right after that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift and Kelce went public with their romance<\/a> in September 2023 when she attended one of his Kansas City Chiefs games, but the pair had already been going strong in secret prior to their first outing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I\u2019m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,\u201d she explained. \u201cBy the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift also addressed her and Kelce\u2019s willingness to enjoy their romance in the spotlight after her past tendency to maintain her privacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you say a relationship is public, that means I\u2019m going to see him do what he loves, we\u2019re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don\u2019t care,\u201d she said. \u201cThe opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you\u2019re seeing someone. And we\u2019re just proud of each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Kelce, he reflected on how his relationship with Swift became serious<\/a> in a GQ<\/em> interview published on Tuesday, August 12.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt happened very organically even though from a media standpoint it was being tracked,\u201d he recalled. \u201cIt still happened very organically.\u201d<\/p>\n

What began as a crush for Kelce ultimately morphed into a lasting relationship.<\/p>\n
