Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> gave an update on how her mom, Andrea<\/strong>, and dad Scott Swift<\/strong> are faring while appearing on Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> and Jason Kelce\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad had an interesting summer. He actually had a quintuple bypass surgery and that\u2019s a really intense surgery,\u201d the singer, 35, shared while speaking with Travis, also 35, and Jason, 37, during the Wednesday, August 13, episode of their show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Taylor noted that things happened \u201creally fast\u201d as Scott, 73, had historically had a \u201cperfect EKG\u201d in his physicals over the years. However after undergoing a resting stress test, doctors found he had five blockages and advised him to get the procedure done right away.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Doctors we\u2019re like], \u2018We gotta do this tomorrow. We don\u2019t know how you walked in here,\u201d Taylor recalled.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTaylor Swift has loved being the girl in the bleachers amid her blossoming romance with Travis Kelce. Swift made her first appearance at a Kansas City Chiefs game in September 2023, watching them defeat the Chicago Bears from the Kelce family\u2019s private suite. After cheering alongside the tight end\u2019s mom, Donna Kelce, she and Travis [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Taylor explained that she and Travis, as well as her mom and brother were by her dad\u2019s side<\/a> help him with his recovery.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe moved in with him for the whole summer pretty much. [He couldn\u2019t] really walk on [his] own. We had a harness for my dad just walking dad on his harness,\u201d she reflected. \u201cHe was like the loveliest patient ever. He kept saying thank you over and over again.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added her dad is now doing \u201cincredible.\u201d As for Andrea, Taylor shared that her mom is also doing \u201cgreat\u201d as well after undergoing a knee surgery.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was the summer of my parental upgrades,\u201d Taylor joked. \u201cWe\u2019re just upgrading the parents, making sure they live to be at least 186 years old because they are two of my best friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor added that she truly appreciated getting to spend some time with both her mom and dad.<\/p>\n

Taylor\u2019s appearance on \u201cNew Heights\u201d<\/a> comes nearly two years after she and Travis began dating in the summer of 2023. Throughout their romance, Taylor and her parents hav e regularly attending his Kansas City Chiefs games since that September. Most recently, the group was by Travis\u2019 side<\/a> when his team lost the 2025 Super Bowl<\/a> to the Philadelphia Eagles in February.<\/p>\n

While many NFL fans have embraced Swift\u2019s involvement in the sport, some have complained about the attention she\u2019s received while attending Travis\u2019 games. However, she has brushed off the criticism on more than one occasion.<\/p>\n

Swift and Kelce were first linked in July 2023 when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared he attempted to ask Swift out after attending her Eras Tour. \u201cI was a little butthurt I didn\u2019t get to hand her one of the bracelets I [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how they know what suite I\u2019m in,\u201d she told Time<\/em> in December 2023. \u201cThere\u2019s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don\u2019t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m being shown 17 times or once.\u201d<\/p>\n
