A week after Brandon Blackstock\u2019s death<\/a> at age 48, a surprising fact about the talent manager\u2019s private life has come to light. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n An online obituary<\/a> for Blackstock makes no mention of singer Kelly Clarkson<\/a>, with whom he shared a 11-year-old daughter, River Rose, and a 9-year-old son, Remington Alexander. However, it lists Brittney Marie Jones as his \u201cbeautiful and loving partner in life and business.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n According to LinkedIn<\/a>, Jones worked as Clarkson\u2019s production assistant from 2016 to 2018. In late 2018, she began working in an executive management assistant role under Blackstock, where her duties included managing a \u201cday to day artist schedule\u201d for Clarkson. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Since 2020, Jones has served as an executive assistant for V Bar V Cattle Co., a Montana ranch owned by Blackstock. Her professional transition notably overlaps with Clarkson\u2019s filing for divorce<\/a> from Blackstock in June of that year, after about seven years of marriage. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Among those to mourn Blackstock\u2019s passing was Jones\u2019 father, Larry Jones, who said he \u201cconsidered him my son\u201d in a social media post, according to People<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Elsewhere in the post, he described Blackstock as \u201cmy daughter\u2019s soulmate.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n A representative for Clarkson did not immediately reply to celebrity.land\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Prior to his relationship with Clarkson, Blackstock was married to Melissa Ashworth<\/a> from 1999 to 2012. The former couple shared daughter Savannah Blackstock, 23, and son Seth Blackstock, 18.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Blackstock became a grandfather in January 2022 when Savannah Blackstock welcomed the first of her two children, with a third currently on the way<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The former stepson of country legend Reba McEntire<\/a>, Blackstock died Aug. 7 of skin cancer.
