DotLife, a new, weekly podcast produced by Dorchester’s Erin Caldwell, debuted this weekend.<\/p>\n
Episode one of the DotLife pod <\/a>features interviews with the Dorchester Reporter’s co-publishers Bill Forry and Linda Dorcena Forry and a “tiny Dot” performance by R&B artist Hakim Hakim.<\/p>\n Caldwell, who is a co-founder of the annual music celebration Dorchfest<\/a>, says that the DotLife podcast is “all about what\u2019s happening in Dorchester.”<\/p>\n “We\u2019re shining a light on local events, small businesses, current events, neighborhood landmarks, and the real issues that matter to the people who live here,” Caldwell explained on the pod’s website<\/a>. “Whether you\u2019ve been in Dorchester your whole life or you\u2019re just getting to know the area, DotLife helps you stay connected to the stories, voices, and energy that make this community one-of-a-kind.”<\/p>\n Each week, reporters and editors from the Dorchester Reporter will offer headlines and analysis “to go deeper into the stories shaping our streets,” said Caldwell. <\/p>\n “You\u2019ll get insightful analysis, thoughtful conversation, and a true sense of what the news means for our neighbors. Then, we take things a step further by inviting in community experts \u2014 the activists, educators, business owners, and leaders whose work directly impacts the lives of Dorchester residents,” she said. “It\u2019s a space to explore the issues that matter most, in a voice that feels comfortable, familiar, and fun.”<\/p>\n The pod will also feature the “Tiny Dot Concert,” with live performances from local Dorchester musicians sponsored by our friends at The Record Company, these intimate sessions give you a front-row seat to the raw talent and creative spirit that flows through our community.
