The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, James Gunn confirmed that he has completed a \u201cvery, very worked out treatment\u201d for the next story. He referred to it as the \u201cSuperman Saga.\u201d He stated, \u201cI\u2019m working on that and hopefully going into production on that not too far away from today.\u201d The filmmaker, who wrote and directed Superman, withheld the project\u2019s title and plot details.<\/p>\nGunn said Superman \u201cleads directly into Peacemaker\u201d and added, \u201cIt should be noted that this is for adults, not for children, but Superman leads into this show, and then we have the setting up of all of the rest of the DCU in this season of Peacemaker; it\u2019s incredibly important.\u201d He also noted, \u201cLots of guest stars coming up, lots of characters that are going to show up that we\u2019ve already met in Superman.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gunn is said to be developing a Superman sequel, which was reportedly described as part of the \u201cSuperman Family.\u201d While unconfirmed, speculation suggests the story may involve David Corenswet\u2019s Superman teaming up with Milly Alcock\u2019s Supergirl and Krypto. They could face Brainiac and\/or The Authority.<\/p>\n
The next chapter may be a Superman and Supergirl sequel, possibly teaming them up. If production begins soon, it could be released in June\u2013July 2027.<\/p>\n
