The 2025 edition of Reading & Leeds<\/a> is just around the corner \u2013 but will it be rain or shine when performances kick off? Check out the early weather forecasts for both locations below.<\/p>\n

As ever, this year\u2019s edition of the dual festival is set to take place across the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Gates open to punters on Wednesday (20) and the event runs up until Sunday night (24).<\/p>\n

For the 2025 instalment, Chappell Roan<\/a>, Travis Scott<\/a>, Bring Me The Horizon<\/a>, and Hozier<\/a> will all set to top the bill as headliners<\/a>. More performances across the weekend will come from Limp Bizkit<\/a>, D-Block Europe<\/a>, Heartworms<\/a>, former Little Mix<\/a> member Leigh-Anne<\/a>, AJ Tracey<\/a>, Lola Young<\/a>, Becky Hill<\/a>, Amyl And The Sniffers<\/a>, Bloc Party<\/a>, The Kooks<\/a>, The Dare<\/a>, Enter Shikari<\/a>, Wallows<\/a>, Sea Girls<\/a>, Mannequin Pussy<\/a>, Soft Play<\/a>, and Lambrini Girls<\/a>.<\/p>\n

New for this year, two brand new stages have been introduced<\/a> as well. These are the Smirnoff Stage in Reading and the Reload Stage in Leeds, and both are designed to celebrate \u201cthe underground electronic communities blazing a path through modern UK culture\u201d, as well as continue the festival\u2019s \u201ctrend of innovation\u201d.<\/p>\n

Recently, Reading & Leeds shared the official stage times on the festival\u2019s official app<\/a>, and you can find a full list of times in NME<\/em>\u2019s report here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Along with the two new stages, 2025 will also see The Aux Stage<\/a> \u2013 described as \u201cthe home of pioneering digital creators\u201d \u2013 return, as well as the in-conversation shows it hosts and the \u2018Unplugged\u2019 series which offers fans access to intimate acoustic performances and interviews.<\/p>\n

The \u201cgroundbreaking\u201d Chevron Stage will also be back<\/a>, hosting dance, electronic pop and hip-hop acts beneath a canopy of lights.<\/p>\n

Towards the start of the year, Reading & Leeds organisers announced a \u201cworld-first\u201d huge shake-up and improvement to their camping facilities for 2025<\/a>, and festival boss Melvin Benn spoke to NME<\/em> about what to expect this time around.<\/p>\n

\u201cAudiences change. We\u2019ve become more able to be communicated to. Modern technology, social media, direct communication, direct messaging \u2013 audiences can tell us in real-time what they\u2019re looking for,\u201d he said. \u201cThey may want to be at the festival but not necessarily in the same headspace as another person.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cReading & Leeds is now attracting quite diverse audiences, and some people want that super-cool eco camp where they\u2019re camping in the same way they\u2019ve lived the rest of their lives, while others want to be partying, others want to be in a quiet camp, others want to be in something more inclusive and less rowdy,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, over the last three years and since COVID, we\u2019ve been listening to audiences more and more. We did surveys and asked them and it\u2019s become clear that they want different spaces. They want to feel that they\u2019re at Reading & Leeds but in a different environment. They don\u2019t want to go to a hotel, they don\u2019t necessarily want to camp in the main camp site and they want a different space.\u201d<\/p>\n
