TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Toledo\u2019s annual Black Men\u2019s Wellness Day is coming up this weekend. It\u2019s an event aimed at understanding health disparities and offering access to health screenings and resources.<\/p>\n
The African American Male Wellness Agency is hosting the event and accompanying 5K walk and run on Saturday, Aug. 16 at Scott High School on Collingwood Blvd. It runs from 7 a.m. to noon.<\/p>\n
It offers free health screenings, including blood pressure checks, a special pavilion just for seniors, interactive activities for kids, live music and more. There\u2019s also a 5K walk and run<\/a> that starts in front of Scott High School at 9:30 a.m. <\/p>\n \u201cWhether you\u2019ve been a part of our journey from the start or are just getting to know us, this day is for you,\u201d the event page read. \u201cCome, be a part of a day filled with knowledge, celebration, and unity.
