Leonardo DiCaprio<\/strong><\/a> went viral earlier this week for an unfortunate reason while vacationing in Ibiza.<\/p>\n

According to video footage<\/a> obtained by The Daily Mail<\/em><\/a>, DiCaprio was stopped and searched by Spanish authorities as he attempted to enter an Ibiza party thrown by Elite<\/em> actor Ar\u00f3n Piper<\/strong> and tequila brand Patron on Saturday, August 9.<\/p>\n

DiCaprio, who was dressed casually in a black T-shirt and pants as well as a baseball cap, seemed bewildered in the footage as police patted him down during their search.<\/p>\n

A source clarified to Page Six<\/em> <\/a>that DiCaprio wasn\u2019t singled out by authorities, though it has been reported that local officials did not immediately recognize the Oscar winner. DiCaprio was accompanied by his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti<\/strong>, and their friends Joel Edgerton<\/strong> and his partner, Christine Centenera<\/strong>, who were all searched by police before being allowed into the glitzy party. The outlet reported all guests were patted down and ID\u2019ed before entering the venue.<\/p>\n

Once inside the Ibiza bash, the two couples were able to mingle with a high-profile guest list that included DiCaprio\u2019s longtime pal Tobey Maguire<\/strong> and Kendall Jenner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

DiCaprio, Ceretti, Maguire and Jenner were also guests at Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos<\/strong> and Lauren S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>\u2019s multi-day wedding celebration in Venice, Italy, in June. While Maguire mostly kept out of sight during the weekend, DiCaprio, Ceretti and Jenner were frequently photographed while taking water taxis to various festivities. (DiCaprio and Ceretti have been together since 2023.)<\/p>\n

DiCaprio and Ceretti reportedly kept a lower profile at a pajama-themed wedding reception to cap off the weekend. A source confirmed to Us Weekly<\/em> that the \u201cinsane dance party\u201d<\/a> featured live music from DJ Cassid<\/strong>y and Usher<\/strong>, and was decorated with velvet couches and lounge chairs to fit with the PJs theme.<\/p>\n

\u201c[DiCaprio] was under the radar with his girlfriend [Ceretti]. He was doing his thing and was enjoying the music,\u201d an insider told Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere during the wedding weekend, DiCaprio was photographed on multiple occasions seemingly trying to avoid the paparazzi by covering his face with a baseball cap<\/a>. This tactic proved to be unsuccessful as photos of DiCaprio covering his face ultimately went viral<\/a> and spawned numerous memes.<\/p>\n

The notoriously private DiCaprio recently gave a rare interview to his close friend, One Battle After Another<\/em> writer and director Paul Thomas Anderson<\/em>, for GQ<\/em><\/a>, where he insisted that he still feels youthful after turning 50 in November 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, [turning 50] creates a feeling like you have a desire to just be more honest and not waste your time,\u201d DiCaprio said. \u201cI can only imagine how the next few decades are going to progress. I look at my mother [Irmelin Indenbirken<\/strong>, who turned 82 in February], for example, and she just says exactly what she thinks and wastes no time. She spends no time trying to fake it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on, \u201c[You\u2019re] more upfront and risking having things fall apart or risk the disagreements or risk going your separate ways from any type of relationship in life \u2014 the personal, professional \u2014 it\u2019s that you just don\u2019t want to waste your time anymore. You have to just be much more upfront. It\u2019s almost a responsibility because much more of your life is behind you than it is ahead of you.\u201d<\/p>\n
