Derry artist\u00a0Boachitta<\/a> is releasing her debut single ‘Sparkling Dynamite’ on Friday, August 15 ahead of her upcoming album Come Out of The Water<\/em>.<\/p>\n Additionally, the singer-songwriter will release an accompanying music video and has announced a gig at Sandinos Bar Derry, on August 20.<\/p>\n The new single “is a song about the twin flame connection. The journey to find yourself through love,” said Boachitta.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is a celebration of human growth towards spirit, through pain and heartbreak.\u201d<\/p>\n The singer-songwriter grew up surrounded by music and took inspiration from artists such as Alanis Morissette<\/a>, Gwen Stefani<\/a>, Kathleen Hanna<\/a>, Skin from Skunk Anansie<\/a>, Tori Amos<\/a>, The Cranberries<\/a> and The Pixies<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been aware of Boachitta\u2019s ability for some time now and have very much thrown in our chips on her huge potential,” said producer Andy Wright who has worked with artists such as Simple Minds<\/a>, Jeff Beck<\/a>, Imelda May<\/a>, and Luciano Pavarotti<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Her songwriting and vocal ability are beyond question and we feel that given the opportunities that will inevitably come her way, she will be spoken of in the same breath as artists like Patti Smith, Sin\u00e9ad O\u2019Connor and Imelda May.”<\/p>\n \u201cIn a sea of fakers and wannabe\u2019s, Boachitta\u2019s music is like a breath of fresh air,” said her producer Gavin Goldberg who has also worked with Simple Minds.<\/p>\n “Her unflinching songwriting and uncompromising style touches nerves as well as hearts.”<\/p>\n Tickets for Boachitta\u2019s Derry gig are on sale now and can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n ‘Sparkling Dynamite’ comes out Friday, August 15.<\/p>\n Watch the new music video below.<\/p>\n
