Braman, 38, faces an \u201cextremely serious\u201d medical condition, according to his longtime agent Sean Stellato.\u00a0 Stellato told Houston\u2019s KPRC 2 that Braman has been diagnosed with a \u201crare, aggressive and recurring form of cancer,\u201d [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cIt ate my hips up,\u201d Jones said of his treatment. \u201cI had to have both hips replaced because it was rough on your bones, but other than that, I\u2019m so proud to get to be sitting here with you guys and be getting to do what we do. \u2026 But [mortality] was in the back of your mind.\u201d<\/p>\n
First-year Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer<\/strong>, a cancer survivor himself, told reporters that he was glad Jones shared his story because it \u201cgives people hope.\u201d Schottenheimer, 51, had surgery to treat thyroid cancer at age 28 when he was an assistant coach for the San Diego Chargers.<\/p>\n\u201cIt gives people the strength to say, \u2018OK, you can beat this. You can do that,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cAnd when you have that type of diagnosis, to have that hope and that ability to think, \u2018I can fight through this and maybe I can catch a break and get lucky,\u2019 that\u2019s great.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
