\n\tSome of music\u2019s best showgirls are coming together to celebrate Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2018s new album announcement, with Sabrina Carpenter, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and several more stars sharing their reactions to the news on social media in the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n \n\tThe \u201cEspresso\u201d singer, who is featured on the title track of Swift\u2019s upcoming The Life of a Showgirl LP was understandably particularly pumped about the news. On her Instagram Story, Carpenter wrote, \u201ci know someone who\u2019s freaking out and it\u2019s me.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tMinaj simply reshared Swift\u2019s Instagram post about the album and typed a Sagittarius emoji \u2014 a nod to the two women\u2019s shared star sign \u2014 while Cardi hilariously posted a screenshot of Spongebob Squarepants breathing a sigh of relief on X<\/a>. The \u201cWAP\u201d artist is also gearing up to release an album, Am I the Drama?, on Sept. 19, and is likely resting easier knowing that she won\u2019t have to compete with the pop superstar for first-week streams.<\/p>\n \n\tThe stars\u2019 reactions come shortly after Swift formally announced The Life of a Showgirl on Tuesday (Aug. 12), the day after which she shared more details about the full-length on boyfriend Travis Kelce\u2019s New Heights podcast. According to the hitmaker, the Max Martin- and Shellback-produced LP is full of \u201cbangers\u201d<\/a> and dives deep into what happened in her personal life \u201cbehind the scenes\u201d of her two-year Eras Tour, which wrapped in December.<\/p>\n \n\tOther famous friends who joined in on Swiftie excitement over the album news were Flavor Flav and Caitlin Clark, both of whom have been open about their love of the 14-time Grammy winner in the past. The Public Enemy rapper wrote on X<\/a>, \u201cThat\u2019s the Life of a Showgirl,!! TS12\u201d and filled out New Heights\u2018 excuse form reading, \u201cPlease excuse Flavor Flav from any responsibilities on Wednesday Aug. 12th at 7:00 p.m. ET. Don\u2019t blame me, but Taylor Swift will be appearing on the New Heights podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe WNBA superstar also definitely tuned into the podcast. After the episode\u2019s premiere on YouTube \u2014 which raked in a record 1.3 million<\/a> live viewers \u2014 glitched and blacked out before it was finished, Clark wrote on X<\/a>, \u201cSwifties so powerful we broke the internet.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tOther famous faces put their own spin on Swift\u2019s eye-popping Life of a Showgirl album cover, which shows the musician in a revealing bedazzled leotard while partially submerged in water. John Stamos, for one, photoshopped a picture of himself in Swift\u2019s place on the cover, writing on Instagram<\/a>, \u201cbig reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tMore celebrities showed their support for Swift by liking her post announcing the album on Instagram, including Selena Gomez, Gracie Abrams, Ice Spice, Maren Morris, Maggie Rogers and Jack Antonoff.<\/p>\n \n\tThose names are just a few of the countless Swifties who are bursting with excitement over the promise of new Taylor Swift music. Arriving Oct. 3, The Life of a Showgirl will mark her first album since 2024\u2019s The Tortured Poets Department, which spent 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200<\/a>. <\/p>\n \n\tAnd while TTPD was more focused on poetry-style lyrics, Swift promised on New Heights that Showgirl will mark a return to the hookiness of some of her past hits. \u201c[The album is] a lot more upbeat, and it\u2019s a lot more fun pop excitement,\u201d she said on New Heights. \u201cMy main goals were melodies that were so infectious, you\u2019re almost angry at it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
