Fans are used to seeing Spike Lee and Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet together courtside at New York Knicks games<\/a>, but could a movie collaboration be next?<\/p>\n

The Oscar-winning filmmaker recently set the record straight on The Bill Simmons Podcast<\/a><\/em> that there\u2019s no beef between him and the actor over who\u2019s the biggest Hollywood Knicks fan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel Chalamet is on your corner a little bit, and I want to make sure you\u2019re good, because he\u2019s become the signature Knicks fan,\u201d host Bill Simmons claimed. \u201cHe\u2019s kinda in your real estate. Have you hashed this out? What\u2019s going on here?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Highest 2 Lowest<\/em> director<\/a> confirmed there\u2019s \u201cno rivalry\u201d and \u201cno competition at all\u201d between them and that he actually hopes to work with Chalamet on a film together in the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, he\u2019s a good guy, he\u2019s a real [Knicks] fan, he\u2019s a great actor, and we\u2019ve talked about doing a film together once his schedule clears up,\u201d Lee said, before adding with a laugh, \u201cThe next four or five years.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that their film will \u201chave nothing to do with sports.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Lee, Chalamet does seem quite packed at the moment, as he\u2019ll be headed out on a press tour later this year for his movie Marty Supreme<\/em><\/a>. He\u2019ll also be shooting James Mangold\u2019s next film, High Side<\/em><\/a>, as well as filming Denis Villeneuve\u2019s Dune: Part Three<\/em>, which is set to hit theaters in December 2026.<\/p>\n

The Malcolm X<\/em> filmmaker also has a lot on his plate right now, as he\u2019s currently promoting his new movie, Highest 2 Lowest<\/em><\/a>, starring Denzel Washington and Jeffrey Wright. He\u2019s also working on his upcoming projects, Prince of Cats<\/a><\/em> and Da Understudy<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n
