Could love be in the air for former Groundhog Day<\/em><\/a> costars Bill Murray<\/strong><\/a> and Andie MacDowell<\/strong><\/a>?<\/p>\n

Well, if MacDowell\u2019s daughter, Margaret Qualley<\/strong><\/a>, has her way, we could be in store for a romantic reunion decades in the making!<\/p>\n

Qualley, 30, shared on the Thursday, August 14, episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em><\/a> that she tried to play matchmaker backstage before Thursday\u2019s taping. Qualley was on the show promoting her new movie, Honey Don\u2019t!<\/em>, while Murray, 74, appeared alongside musical guest act the Pedrito Mart\u00ednez Group to perform their song \u201cIlusi\u00f3n \u00d3ptica.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBreaking news!\u201d Qualley told host Jimmy Fallon<\/strong> and the studio audience as she revealed how Murray paid her a visit before the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cBill Murray, literally tonight, he pops into my backstage dressing room,\u201d the actress said<\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s wearing a Piggly Wiggly shirt. And I grew up in North Carolina, and Piggly Wiggly\u2019s a Southern thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Qualley continued, \u201cI was like, \u2018Oh, yeah, Piggly Wiggly!\u2019 Then, cut to I found out he\u2019s living in Charleston. My mom\u2019s living in Charleston.\u201d<\/p>\n

This promoted Murray to reveal that he and MacDowell, 67, didn\u2019t have the best experience on the set of their 1993 hit comedy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna give you the tea,\u201d Qualley quipped. \u201cHe was like, \u2018You know, your mom and I \u2014 we didn\u2019t get along so good while we were making that movie.\u2019 And he was like, \u2018She took a lot of time to get her hair done, and she didn\u2019t know her lines this one time.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Yeah, well, I heard a different story, sir.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The Substance<\/em> actress said she hoped to meet Murray again after the taping to put him in touch with MacDowell. No word on if we\u2019ll be getting that Groundhog Day<\/em> reunion yet, however.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said to come circle back and get my number if he wants to connect with my mom,\u201d Qualley explained.<\/p>\n
