The third round of voting to determine\u00a0Elvis Presle<\/a>y’s best song has come to a close, and the field of eight has been cut down to our final four.<\/p>\n With the annual\u00a0Elvis Week<\/a>\u00a0festivities underway, The Commercial Appeal decided to turn to you, our readers\/Elvis fans, to determine the top track by the\u00a0King of Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll<\/a>.<\/p>\n Adopting a March Madness-style competition to determine Elvis’ best track, we started with 32 songs facing off in randomly generated matchups. The first two rounds saw some close battles, while the quarterfinals generated rather more lopsided wins.<\/p>\n \u201cSuspicious Minds\u201d trounced “Return to Sender.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n “Love Me Tender” was the decisive victor against \u201cHeartbreak Hotel.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n “Are You Lonesome Tonight”\u00a0cruised past\u00a0“It\u2019s Now or Never.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n “Can\u2019t Help Falling in Love”\u00a0beat out\u00a0“Jailhouse Rock.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Semifinals voting will open up on Aug. 18\u00a0\u2014 matchups will be revealed then.
