Marvel movie Thunderbolts, starring Oxford’s Florence Pugh, is coming to Disney+ this month.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood actress, who was born and grew up in the city, is known for her roles in 2019’s Little Women, 2022’s Don\u2019t Worry Darling, 2023’s Oppenheimer, and Dune: Part Two in 2024.<\/p>\n

Ms Pugh also starred in Midsommar back in 2019, as well as last year’s We Live in Time with Andrew Garfield.<\/p>\n

She is also known for playing\u00a0Yelena Belova Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in Black Widow,\u00a0reprising her role in the Hawkeye series and Thunderbolts.<\/p>\n

Thunderbolts, one of the latest instalments in the MCU,\u00a0sees a group of\u00a0unconventional antiheroes embarking on a dangerous mission.<\/p>\n

Previously speaking about the film, Ms Pugh said: “They wanted to give me another chance, they wanted to see where Yelena went.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m also so impressed that they\u2019ve wanted to make this kind of movie with this kind of story, with the story that Jake (Schreier, the film\u2019s director) has really championed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not an easy superhero movie. It\u2019s not a movie about talents that you can\u2019t see yourself in, it\u2019s actually about flaws that everybody can see themselves in, and it\u2019s humongously brave.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just very, very lucky that my first experience was with Scarlett Johansson (who plays fellow assassin Natasha Romanoff, who is also known as Black Widow), who wants to talk about women and the behaviour of people around women in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd on my second movie, it\u2019s about mental health and the behaviour of how we accept people with mental health.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film also stars Sebastian Stan as Bucky, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Wyatt Russell as John.<\/p>\n

It was\u00a0released in UK cinemas on Friday, May 2, but will be available to stream on Disney+ from Wednesday, August 27.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
