Taylor Swift\u2019s new album, Life of a Showgirl<\/em>, appears to have an orange theme. And that theme was plugged in the biggest way possible.<\/p>\n To celebrate the news of Swift\u2019s 12th<\/sup> studio album, The Empire State Building was illuminated with orange lights on August\u00a0 12.<\/p>\n A post on the official Instagram account<\/a> for the New York City landmark featured an image of the building lit with bright orange lights. The caption read, “Onto the next era!\u201d<\/p>\n Fans reacted with thousands of \u201clikes\u201d and comments.<\/p>\n \u201cINSANE!!!! This is amazing!!!!!\u201d one fan wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re the tallest swiftie I know. Love that about you,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cWelcome to New York, TS12! We\u2019ve been waiting for you \ud83e\udde1\u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83d\udd25\ud83e\udde1,\u201d a third fan chimed in.<\/p>\n Orange has been appearing everywhere Swifties look.<\/p>\n Ahead of the album announcement, Swift\u2019s social media profiles featured a thumbnail of a glittery orange lock. In addition, Taylor Nation, a branch of Swift\u2019s marketing team, posted 12 photos<\/a> from the Eras Tour that featured the singer wearing orange in every picture.<\/p>\n \u201cThinking about when she said \u201cSee you next era\u2026\u201d \u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83d\udd25,\u201d came the caption.<\/p>\n Marie Claire<\/em> noted<\/a> that Swift has also been wearing orange-brown lipstick and that the orange color could be a nod to her boyfriend\u2019s Kansas City Chiefs uniform colors, which are red and yellow. As in, red + yellow makes orange.<\/p>\n Swift announced the name of her new album in a teaser for her appearance on her boyfriend Travis Kelce\u2019s New Heights<\/em> podcast with his brother Jason. In the background of the New Heights<\/em> set, three orange books could be seen on a shelf.<\/p>\n In a video clip<\/a> shared on Instagram at 12:12 a.m. on Aug. 12, Swift, 35, asked Kelce, “Can I show you something?”<\/p>\n She then pulled out a mint green briefcase with the letters TS on it in orange and revealed that the case contained a copy of her new album.
