Taylor Swift<\/strong> <\/a>nearly broke the internet when she revealed her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/i>, on boyfriend Travis Kelce<\/strong>\u2019s podcast \u2014 but are there more surprises in store?<\/p>\n Less than one day after Swift\u2019s announcement, her official Taylor Nation X account sparked curiosity while replying to a fan who wanted to hear the new songs<\/a> already.<\/p>\n \u201cWe can\u2019t find the key! Lost it in Vancouver,\u201d read the Thursday, August 14, post<\/a>, which was accompanied by a crying emoji and the official hashtag for The Life of a Showgirl.<\/i><\/p>\n The upload also featured an image of an orange lock \u2014 which Swift, 35, used as the preliminary illustration for the new album before sharing the Mert and Marcus cover<\/a> \u2014 on a sparkly orange background. In the middle of the lock was a small rendering of Swift\u2019s Eras Tour <\/i>stage.<\/p>\n Swift, who closed out the tour in December 2024 with three performances in Vancouver, wrote the entirety of The Life of a Showgirl <\/i>in between concerts.<\/p>\n \u201cI would do three shows in a row, [and then] I\u2019d have three days off,\u201d Swift told Travis, 35, and Jason Kelce<\/strong> on the Wednesday, August 13, episode of their \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019d fly to Sweden, [then] go back to the tour. I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating.\u201d<\/p>\n Swift reunited with producers Max Martin<\/strong> and Shellback<\/strong>, whom she previously worked with on her Red <\/i>and Reputation <\/i>albums.<\/p>\n
