HGTV<\/a> star Jonathan Scott is not expecting a daughter, but a recent Instagram post had fans congratulating him and his fianc\u00e9e, Zooey Deschanel<\/a>, on a future baby girl.<\/p>\n On Thursday, the \u201cProperty Brothers\u201d star shared a photo<\/a> that put a humorous spin on Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cThe Life of a Showgirl\u201d album<\/a> cover, which the singer had unveiled on Wednesday. Scott\u2019s mock album cover, titled \u201cThe Life of a Girl Dad,\u201d featured the Canadian contractor in a plaid shirt and t-shirt, holding a hammer. He added playful \u201cgirl dad\u201d touches, including a pink tutu, sparkly confetti, and what appeared to be eyeshadow and blush on his face.<\/p>\n Scott\u2019s caption read, \u201cAlbum out October 3rd,\u201d which is the same day Swift is releasing her album. However, many fans interpreted the post as a pregnancy announcement, believing Scott and Deschanel\u2019s baby girl was due in October.<\/p>\n Hundreds of congratulatory comments poured in, with one fan writing, \u201cYay!!! OMG I\u2019m so happy for you two! Congratulations!\u201d Another added, \u201cYay!!! How exciting!! You two are the cutest! And you are going to be a great girl dad!\u201d<\/p>\n However, some users had a different take. One commenter pointed out, \u201cYou guys, I\u2019m pretty sure this is just a joke because Taylor Swift announced her new album called \u2018The Life of a Showgirl,\u2019 and now everyone is making these funny pictures.\u201d<\/p>\n That user was correct. <\/p>\n Scott later updated his caption to include, \u201cSettle down\u2026 just a @taylorswift tribute.\u201d Although it\u2019s unclear if all the fans who initially thought the post was a pregnancy announcement saw this clarification.<\/p>\n Scott and the \u201cNew Girl\u201d<\/a> alum started dating in August 2019 after meeting on the set of James Corden\u2019s \u201cCarpool Karaoke.\u201d They got engaged in August 2023, but haven\u2019t married yet. <\/p>\n Though not officially wed, Scott has taken on the role of stepfather to Deschanel\u2019s two children, Elsie Otter, 10, and Charlie Wolf, 8, from her previous marriage to Jacob Pechenik.
