Stream the lead single from the Compton-native\u2019s highly anticipated third album, Oh Yeah?<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n By Scott Bernstein<\/a><\/strong> Aug 15, 2025 \u2022<\/span> 9:11 am PDT<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Steve Lacy<\/a> unveiled his first new song in three years, \u201cNice Shoes.\u201d The experimental track previews Oh Yeah?<\/em>, the highly anticipated follow-up to the rapper\u2019s 2022 LP, Gemini Rights<\/em>. <\/p>\n \u201cNice Shoes\u201d was written and produced by Steve Lacy with additional production and writing help from Nick Weiss (Nightfeelings) and Matthew Castellanos. The Grammy-winning musician referred to the song \u201ca \u2018trailer\u2019 for this new moment in his career,\u201d while speaking with Rolling Stone<\/a>. While a release date for Oh Yeah?<\/em> has not been announced, Rolling Stone revealed Lacy\u2019s third album is \u201cslated to drop in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n Steve Lacy self-produced Oh Yeah?<\/em>, which finds the musician dabbling with the use of synthesizers. \u201cSonically, the album is adventurous, diving into sounds like trip-hop and electronic while also building classic rock ballads fit for stadiums and arenas,\u201d wrote Rolling Stone\u2019s Jeff Ihaza. <\/p>\n \u201cThis one has taken a lot of time and thought,\u201d Lacy added of his forthcoming album. \u201cI keep using the word \u2018design.\u2019 It feels like fully designing a new language for myself.\u201d<\/p>\n Check out the lyric video for Steve Lacy\u2019s \u201cNice Shoes\u201d below:<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
