Hop in the comments and tell us: What new music are you listening to?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Beaches have already been having a big summer, with their \u201cLast Girls At The Party\u201d landing as at least one <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.avclub.com\/avqa-song-of-the-summer-pinkpantheress-wet-leg-bad-bunny\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A.V. Club <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">writer\u2019s song of the summer<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and covering \u201cUltimate\u201d for the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Freakier Friday <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">soundtrack. But the band has a longer timeline in mind with \u201cLesbian Of The Year,\u201d a soaring power ballad dipped in amber. Band member Leandra Earl wrote the song about coming into her sexuality \u201clater in life\u201d and the attendant complex emotions. Vulnerable yet resolute, \u201cLesbian Of The Year\u201d draws to mind a late night alone in a wood-paneled bar, where everything looks maroon: the color of the dark blood inside an unbroken, still-beating heart. The Beaches\u2019 album <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No Hard Feelings <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">arrives on August 29.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"revcontent-hidden\"> <!-- revisit --><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guerilla Toss have been releasing some of the most exciting, genre-busting music of 2025 so far, with singles like \u201cPsychosis Is Just A Number\u201d landing at the intersection of metal, J-rock, and hyperpop. \u201cCEO Of Personal &amp; Pleasure\u201d is a little less frantic and a little more melodic, but no less interesting, tapping into a punk-cum-disco synthesizer palette that begs the question: what if the B-52s were on MySpace? It might sound a little something like this, as Guerilla Toss wears their influences proudly on their sleeves before chopping the sleeves off and throwing them in a blender. Their upcoming album, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re Weird Now<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">arrives on September 12.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!-- admarker --> <\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Robert Plant and Saving Grace, \u201cGospel Plough\u201d<\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Robert Plant - Gospel Plough (Official Audio)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jeMQsF5HiCs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You certainly know who Robert Plant is, but you may be less familiar with Saving Grace, the band the erstwhile Led Zeppelin frontman formed in 2019. They\u2019re finally gearing up to release their self-titled debut album, and shared the latest taste of it this week with \u201cGospel Plough,\u201d a Black spiritual that has been previously covered by the likes of Duke Ellington, Peggy Lee, Bob Dylan, and Old Crow Medicine Show. Plant\u2019s reimagining focuses on plucked strings with a hint of Celtic air. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saving Grace<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, described by the band as \u201ca song book for the lost and found\u201d and an exploration of roots music, will arrive in full on September 26.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rise Against, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ricochet<\/span><\/i><\/h2>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rise Against - Ricochet (Official Video)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fPRWdZrSnq4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If there was ever a time to rage and rise, this is it. Rise Against returns with <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ricochet<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, their first album in four years and one that they have been teasing for basically all of President Trump\u2019s second term. (Seriously; the first single, \u201cNod,\u201d arrived three days after the inauguration.) The band isn\u2019t shy about the political connections, either, with the title track exploring themes of interconnectivity in a period of increased isolation. As tempting as it might be to try to turn a blind eye to everything going on worldwide, Rise Against make the strong point that apathy cannot be an option.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!-- admarker --> <\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cassandra Jenkins, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My Light, My Massage Parlor<\/span><\/i><\/h2>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cassandra Jenkins - Wormhold Music (Official Video)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9d4AD3sAPG8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cassandra Jenkins\u2019 music sounds like you\u2019re the first person to ever discover it. Full of analog noise and plaintive instrumentation, the musician debuted two striking albums in 2021 and 2024. Her latest, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My Light, My Massage Parlor<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, is both a follow-up and companion to those releases. Jenkins describes her songwriting as world-building, and all of the possible wormholes that process entails is what the artist seeks to explore on <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My Light, My Massage Parlor<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a piano-forward instrumental album. The result is an almost impossibly tender rendering of ideas Jenkins decided needed a second look. Everything we\u2019ve heard so far has been stunning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chance The Rapper, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Star Line<\/span><\/i><\/h2>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Chance the Rapper ft. Lil Wayne and Smino - Tree (2025) | STAR LINE [Official Music Video]\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jK-h12C4ggE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s been six years since Chance The Rapper released his last full-length album, and while he never stopped releasing music in that period, <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.avclub.com\/chance-the-rapper-star-line-album-release-date\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Star Line <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">arrives today<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a lot to prove. 2019\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Big Day <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was all about his wedding, but, newly divorced, the rapper returns to the mic to share whatever new insights he\u2019s gleaned.\u00a0 At his best, Chance can be heartfelt, puckish, and musically omnivorous; at the same time, he can be unbelievably corny. The lead single, the shuffling marijuana paean \u201cTree,\u201d managed to be all of the above, and brought in Lil Wayne and fellow Chicago wonder Smino. Wherever Chance stands now, he certainly has no shortage of people willing to make music with him again.
