Harry Hamlin<\/strong> recently reached an important milestone in his life.<\/p>\n

The Mad Men<\/em> alum, 73, discussed his sobriety journey on the Friday, August 15, episode of his and wife Lisa Rinna<\/strong>\u2018s Let\u2019s Not Talk About the Husband<\/a><\/em> podcast, and revealed he has gone one year without drinking.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday is one year,\u201d he told listeners, before noting it was not very monumental to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not that big a deal in my life, by the way,\u201d he admitted. \u201cFor a lot of people, stopping drinking is a huge deal. For me, it\u2019s something I\u2019m happy about doing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was not difficult for me at all to quit. I\u2019m very happy,\u201d he continued. \u201cI was always tempted to have a glass of wine in the evening, have some liquor to go to sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Clash of the Titan<\/em>s actor, who said he \u201clost a considerable amount of weight\u201d from giving up alcohol, also shared that he has been sober during different times of his life and was even a part of Alcoholics Anonymous for about four years.<\/p>\n

Hamlin said he attended \u201c90 meetings in 90 days\u201d when he first started, and even \u201cannotated\u201d the book you get in the program.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018If I\u2019m going to do this, I\u2019m going to go all in,’\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the greatest gifts that I ever got was doing that for that four-year period,\u201d he remarked. \u201cIt\u2019s a whole new world when you don\u2019t use anything to numb yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
