Major Sin\u00e9ad O’Connor Biopic Announcement Has Fans Saying the Same Thing<\/a> originally appeared on Parade<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n Two years after the tragic death of Sin\u00e9ad O\u2019Connor<\/strong>\u00a0at the age of 56, a biopic is officially in the works…and it seems iconic Irish singer’s fans are just as passionate as ever, as reactions to the project’s announcement proved.<\/p>\n A TikTok shared by Metro Entertainment this week featuring a vintage clip of O’Connor performing confirmed that Irish production company ie: entertainment (which executive produced the O\u2019Connor documentary Nothing Compares<\/em>) is behind the biopic, in conjunction with Nine Daughters and See-Saw Films\u00a0(Slow Horses<\/em>).<\/p>\n “Who do you think could play the iconic Irish musician?” the text overlay on the video asked \u2014 and fans were quick to share their passionate opinions on the subject.<\/p>\n “It needs to be an Irish woman. I’m hoping for Saoirse Ronan<\/strong>,” one person wrote, as a second agreed, “It HAS to be someone IRISH.
