The upcoming Masters of the Universe<\/a> cast<\/strong> has added a big name, with Kristen Wiig joining the movie in a fan-favorite role.<\/p>\n

Who is Kristen Wiig playing in Masters of the Universe?<\/h2>\n

According to a new report from THR, Wiig will be lending her voice to the role of Roboto, a member of the Heroic Warriors and a fully mechanical character. Roboto is known for his fully transparent upper body and his high intelligence.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear what Wiig\u2019s role as Roboto will be in the film, but with several other castings having been revealed, it\u2019s likely Roboto will be joining He-Man in battling to protect Eternia.<\/p>\n

Alongside Wiig, the Masters of the Universe live-action cast is led by\u00a0Nicholas Galitzine<\/a>, who will play Prince Adam\/He-Man,\u00a0Jared Leto<\/a>\u00a0as Skeletor,\u00a0Alison Brie<\/a>\u00a0as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress,\u00a0Camila Mendes<\/a>\u00a0as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan\/Man-at-Arms, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, J\u00f3hannes Haukur J\u00f3hannesson as Malcolm\/Fisto, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops.<\/p>\n

Other cast members for the film include recently announced Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, and Christian Vunipola as Hussein.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe movie follows 10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword\u2014the only link to his home on Eternia,\u201d reads the official synopsis. \u201cAfter tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!\u201d<\/p>\n

Masters of the Universe is directed by Travis Knight. The script comes from Chris Butler, while David Callaham, Aaron Nee, and Adam Nee worked on the initial draft.<\/p>\n
