The country music world was heartbroken last year when legendary singer Toby Keith died after a long battle with stomach cancer.<\/p>\n
And fans have watched in the months that have passed as his family has mourned his loss. So, it should not be surprising to know that his fans are excited this week to see the family have reason to celebrate.<\/p>\n
That reason?<\/p>\n
Well, Keith\u2019s son, Stelen Covel, and his wife, Haley, just welcomed a new baby girl into the world. <\/p>\n
They shared the news Friday on Instagram with a picture of their newborn<\/b><\/a> \u2014 Millie Brooks Covel. <\/p>\n \u201cMillie is here,\u201d they wrote. \u201cWe love you so much little girl.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Taste of Country, the couple first announced they were expecting back in February.<\/p>\n \u201cYour dad would be so proud,\u201d one person responded to the picture of newborn Millie. <\/p>\n \u201cAwww,\u201d another wrote. \u201cYou know your Dad is smiling down from heaven!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cCongratulations,\u201d another wrote. \u201cLove her name! Welcome to the world Millie. (Toby Keith) is smiling down from Heaven\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHer grandpa in heaven would sure spoil her,\u201d another wrote. \u201cNew grand baby, Toby. She is beautiful and I am so glad you guys have her.\u201d<\/p>\n Keith died last February, but his name has remained on fans\u2019 mines since, and he had a resurgence earlier this year when his \u201c35 Biggest Hits\u201d album saw a major spike after July 4 and shot up from No. 43 overall to No. 9 on the Billboard 200.
