Sophie Turner has revealed the moment she unintentionally caused a celebrity couple to break off their engagement.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While it’s not clear who Turner<\/a> was talking about, she explained on Late Night with Seth Meyers<\/em> this week that she had been out with one of her friends when the drama unfolded.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe saw this actor she, like, loved,\u201d she explained, adding that although her friend begged her to say hello, she simply waved at him from across the room instead.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was it,\u201d said Turner.<\/p>\n

Later on in the evening, Turner saw someone staring at her and realised it was a high-profile actress.<\/p>\n

\u201cLater on, I see this girl looking at me, and she\u2019s a famous actress. And I go, \u2018I have to go and tell her how much she means to me’,” she recalled.<\/p>\n

Turner explained that when she approached the woman, she was taken aback at what she said to her.<\/p>\n

Turner explained that she asked: \u201cCan you stop f**king flirting with my fianc\u00e9<\/a>?\u201d<\/p>\n

And when she asked who her fianc\u00e9 was, she pointed at the man that Turner had waved at previously.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no idea who this man is. Turns out, they broke their engagement off that night because of my [wave]. I didn\u2019t realize I held this power,” she admitted.<\/p>\n

Turner said she couldn’t reveal who the famous couple are, as she would be ‘in trouble’.<\/p>\n

The actress is currently dating Peregrine Pearson following her split from Joe Jonas in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Turner and Jonas ended their five-year marriage in September 2024 via divorce, claiming that their marriage was ‘irretrievably broken’<\/a>. The couple share two daughters, Willa, aged four and Dephanie, aged two.<\/p>\n

Part of the reasoning was due to the different living locations of the parents.<\/p>\n

While Turner is from the UK, Jonas is from New Jersey.<\/p>\n

The pair finally agreed to have shared custody of their two daughters, meaning the kids can travel to and from the two countries on an equal basis.<\/p>\n

The ex-couple announced this in a statement via Us Weekly in October 2023 that read: \u201cAfter a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
