If you\u2019ve always dreamed of being in film and are going to be in Upstate on Aug. 24, you might want to send a photo and phone number to Hush Girl Productions.<\/p>\n
They are looking for background actors for a television production called \u201cImperfect Vessel,\u201d Hush Girl\u2019s founder Destiny Macon said Friday.<\/p>\n
Macon said the film is about a disgraced church leader\u2019s long-buried secret that she abandoned a son, who resurfaces and confronts her \u201cforcing them both to wrestle with forgiveness and discover that God\u2019s grace can redeem even the deepest wounds.\u201d<\/p>\n
Greenville native Macon<\/a> is a screenwriter, director, and civil engineer who graduated from the University of South Carolina and UCLA\u2019s screenwriting graduate program.<\/p>\n She won a $30,000 grant from the Indie Grants program to fund her short film, Talk Black, which was a finalist in ABFF\u2019s HBO short film showcase and is streaming on Max.
