Detroit Lions quarterback<\/a>Jared Goff<\/strong> got a surprising mention from pop star Taylor Swift <\/a><\/strong>when the Eras Tour star announced her 12th studio album, Life of a Showgirl<\/em>, this week on boyfriend Travis Kelce\u2019s<\/strong>New Heights<\/em> podcast. The pop star\u2019s name-drop served as an ironic full-circle moment for the former LA Rams<\/a>quarterback<\/a>, who confessed to having a crush on Swift in a 2018 episode of HBO\u2019s Hard Knocks: Training Camp with The Los Angeles Rams<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In this week\u2019s New Heights<\/a><\/em> episode, Swift charmingly shared how she leveled up her football IQ, admitting that she originally thought the quarterbacks of both teams played on the field at the same time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought everyone was there [on the field] at the same time,\u201d Swift said. \u201c\u2026 I thought it was like, Jared Goff is here and Josh Allen is here and [the referee] is gonna blow a whistle and then they go at each other, and it’s like, who’s gonna win?\u201d<\/p>\n

In an interview from Detroit Lions training camp, Goff was asked about being mentioned by the “Shake It Off” singer. Goff, who is happily married to SI Swimsuit<\/a><\/em> model Christen Harper<\/strong>, shrugged off the frenzy around the mention, calling it \u201ccrazy\u201d and \u201cvery cool.\u201d<\/p>\n
