The internet went wild when it was announced that global superstar Taylor Swift would appear on her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason\u2019s \u201cNew Heights<\/a>\u201d podcast on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The excitement reached a new level when Swift officially revealed her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Show Girl,” set for release on Oct. 3.<\/p>\n

Emotions ran high early in the episode when Swift opened up about one of the most significant moments of her career\u2014regaining ownership of all her albums, including her first six and countless all-time hits\u2014a milestone she had been pursuing since signing her record deal at just 15 years old.<\/p>\n

Taylor Swift Opens Up About Her Masters<\/h2>\n

Swift revealed that she\u2019s been saving up for decades to purchase the rights to her music. She shared that she sent her brother and mother\u2014who work with her\u2014to negotiate with Shamrock Records, and it was her mother who ultimately delivered the news.<\/p>\n

\u201cA couple months after the Super Bowl in Kansas City, I get a call from my mom. She\u2019s like, \u2018You got your music.\u2019 I very dramatically hit the floor for real,” Swift said<\/a>.<\/a> “Bawling my eyes out, weeping, like \u2018Really!?\u2019 I said to myself \u2018Go tell Travis in a normal way,\u2019 he was playing video games, and he put his headset down. I was like \u2018I got my music back!\u2019 And I was heaving crying. This changed my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Travis Kelce chimed in, revealing that he was crying alongside Swift during the moment she shared the news about regaining ownership of her music.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean I started crying too,\u201d Travis said<\/a>. \u201cI was just so happy for you, because I’ve seen how you make music… I’ve seen the effort and the focus… and I was blown away that you’d been doing this your entire life… I know how much it burned you that you didn’t have that, that you didn’t have your creation.”<\/p>\n
